Microsoft licensing in the Middle East and Central Asia

Microsoft licences for the Gulf, the Caucasus and Central Asia, invoiced in US dollars

Microsoft prices the Middle East in US dollars, and many companies from Dubai to Almaty end up buying through a reseller in another region at another region’s prices. We hold Microsoft’s authorisation for forty-four countries from the UAE and Saudi Arabia to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Türkiye and South Africa, invoice in US dollars from Sharjah with a UAE tax registration, and work hours that overlap fully with the Gulf.

01 — What people come for

Not the licence — what the licence is for

A regional group with entities in several countries

One partner that can contract with the UAE holding, the Kazakh subsidiary and the Georgian office, and one team that knows the whole tenant.

Tenant consolidation

Moving off servers in the office

Active Directory, Exchange and file servers into Microsoft 365 and Azure, with the data residency question answered before anything moves.

On-premises to cloud

Security for a distributed workforce

Intune, Entra ID and Conditional Access for people who work from three countries and two continents.

Intune and Entra ID

Copilot, with the sharing checked first

What Copilot would surface to the wrong person across SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, fixed with the owners and proved before the rollout.

02 — The invoice

A local invoice, done right

Invoiced in US dollars

Microsoft prices the region in USD and so does the invoice, from Avent Cloud Solutions LLC in Sharjah Media City Free Zone.

VAT at five per cent, where it applies

Every price on this site excludes VAT. UAE businesses see it added at five per cent against our tax registration; customers outside the UAE are invoiced without it.

Forty-four countries, one entity

The Gulf, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Türkiye, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova, Pakistan and South Africa, all invoiced from the same place.

Working hours that overlap with yours

Our engineers work European hours, three to four hours behind the Gulf and Central Asia: the whole of your afternoon is our working day.

05 — Questions

Asked before the first invoice

Why US dollars and not dirhams?

Because that is how Microsoft prices the market. A dirham invoice would be a conversion of a dollar price, and most regional groups keep their software budgets in dollars anyway.

Can you invoice our company in Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan?

Yes: both are inside the territory our Sharjah entity is authorised for, and they are invoiced in US dollars like the rest of the region. The one exception in the region is countries under sanctions, which no Microsoft partner can serve.

Do you charge VAT to a company outside the UAE?

No. VAT at five per cent applies to UAE-established customers; a company in Saudi Arabia, Georgia or Kazakhstan is invoiced without UAE VAT.

Can you take over subscriptions we already have?

Yes. Moving to a new Microsoft partner keeps every licence and mailbox in place; it is a Microsoft process that takes a few days, and it is free.

Tell us what you have and what is bothering you

A written scope, a sequence and a price in USD, usually within one business day. Nobody rings you unless you ask.
